But I kind of hate working late.

My mind goes to the places I love going and my creativity gets excited and runs free all over the place. But my eyes and my fingers are stuck working on someone else’s stuff.
I feel like so much creative energy escapes and wilts to the floor as I stare at a computer screen compressing, rendering, exporting, conforming, prepping, matching, and calculating the works of others.

I’ve got a music video i directed that’s going on Air on MTVU next week.  So if any of you are into seeing really talented film makers and hearing really talented musicians you should watch for mine.  The artist is Nikki Lang and the song is My Sad Hero.

You should watch it.

Even though you haven’t actually watched a music video on MTV in 10 years.

You should make special effort by driving to your nearest university and watching it there.  Cause it’s on MTVU….not the MTV that plays Jersey Shore.

Then you should be all like, “that was beautiful”.  Cause it is.   

I’ll post photos and stuff.  But you should watch the music video on a TV like you used to 10 years ago… you know for old times sake.
